On November 13-15, 2019, twenty students from the Springfield-Clark CTC attended the SkillsUSA State Fall Leadership Conference at the Columbus Convention in Columbus, Ohio. While at the conference over 1200 student leaders from Ohio attended leadership-training sessions, learned how to run a school chapter and were privileged to hear from a motivation speaker. On Friday morning, the six regions in Ohio had their regional elections. The Springfield-Clark CTC being a part of the Southwest region had four students who qualified to run for regional office. Our four students ran against twenty-seven students from sixteen different career technical schools. We are happy to say that three of our students were elected into office taking three of the seven offices available at the Southwest regional level. They will serve the Southwest Region of Ohio for the 2019/2020 school year. The new officers will be attending a weeklong training on January 19-24, 2020 in Leesburg Va. and Washington DC, which will include a visit to our nation’s capital. Their specific offices will be assigned during their training in Washington DC. The following students were elected.
