Wednesday, December 18 is the Period 5 assessment (regular school day-no early release).
Thursday, December 19 are Periods 1, 3, 7 assessments (Early Release).
And Friday, December 20 are Periods 2, 4, 6 assessments (Early Release).
Your student should have brought home an early release permission form. If you did not receive one, a link to the form is under our News section on the JH/HS website. Additionally, you may also email attendance@nwlschools.org with your permission. Please include your student's name and grade if you do email. Thank you so much!
Hello Parents of students in grade 6 - 11! Please mark two important dates on your calendar. The annual Clark County College Credit Plus (CCP) meeting will be on January 16 at the Kuss Auditorium. College Reps are available at 5:30. The meeting starts at 6:30. The annual CCP re-cap meeting will be on January 23 in the Jr./Sr. High Cafe at 6 p.m. Detailed information was distributed to students last week. Happy Holidays!

Attention Seniors! The Springfield Foundation application is open. The deadline is February 7, 2025. Any student who plans to pursue a technical degree, 2 year degree, or 4 year degree should apply. There are over 140 scholarships available through this one application. Our Fall book fair will be Dec. 2nd-6th in the Media Center during the school day. The book fair will also be open during Parent-Teacher Conferences on Dec. 5th from 2:30 pm-6:00 pm.

Each ticket includes dance admission, one photo booth strip, and a snack. Additional photo booth strips can be purchased. Event Policy: No refunds or exchanges. This dance is only for 7th and 8th graders who currently attend Northwestern Jr/Sr High School. - No Refunds Allowed. - This event has a no refund policy.

Northwestern Junior/Senior High School Families: Students in grades 7-12 will be taking the OHYES! (Ohio Healthy Youth Environments Survey ) during Pride on either Dec. 11, 12, or 13th, 2024. Information about the survey, including a parent opt-out form which can be printed and returned and a sample survey that your student will be taken can be found under Documents on the Northwestern High School website or you can click directly on the link below. PLEASE NOTE: opt-out forms also went in the mail this week; your child can return a signed opt out form any day prior to Dec 11th.

This is a career guidance tool that will match your child’s natural abilities with their passions. This program is meant to expose students to a range of career opportunities that fit their skills and to get students thinking about their future.

Good Afternoon Jr/Sr High Students - Picture Retake Day has been scheduled for Thursday October 17th. If your student was not satisfied with their original photo and wish to have their pictures retaken, please have them return the original packet on that day. If you student does not wish to purchase pictures, they still need a school picture taken for their student ID's. Thank you!

Clark County College Night is tomorrow, September 25 at the Hollenbeck Bayley Creative Arts and Conference Center from 6:30 - 8:00. As added security, only the the south entrance between the Performing Arts Center and the Hollenbeck will be open as an entrance. Local law enforcement will also add extra patrols around the parking lots throughout the evening as well. We are looking forward to seeing you at College Night!
